When you graduate and acquire your degree from a college or university, your next thought will be to get a job or to go for your master’s in a good school.
The Master’s studies come as the first choice when you don’t graduate with good grades starting from a second class upper. The next things you may ask yourself are; which is will accept a second-class lower graduate? Are the scholarship options for me.
First and foremost, the educational grading system is different throughout the globe. What may work in your country may not be applicable to others. With a CGPA as low as 3.0, you can study anywhere in the world.
It may seem like all hope is lost when you graduate with a 2.2 or third class but then gaining Admission for a post-graduate study depends mainly on the university and their different requirements.
So many universities in Canada accept candidates or international students who graduated with as low as third class, and there are a lot of scholarships available as well.

To begin your Master you must be sure that you want to pursue a postgraduate study and that you are fully prepared for it. Although, there are lots of entry-level scholarships and more available for everyone who meets the entry requirement of the aspiring university. There are ways to also boost your chances of getting admission to the university and securing a scholarship.
Boosting Your Chances As A 2.2 or 3rd class
When applying for post-graduate studies, do not limit yourself to just one or two universities, widen your option to several schools or universities just to improve your options.
Consider applying for different courses in different universities. Maybe the course you completed at your undergraduate level was not comfortable for you, applying to a different course may help smoothen things up. It may also be that universities are more likely to consider applicants with lower class degrees for some courses, as they are usually shorter.
Gain some working experience after your post-graduate studies this would also help boost your chances of getting accepted.
It is difficult to gain admission to a university for postgraduate studies with a second class lower and even more difficult if it were the third class. This means that when you are applying, you need to sell yourself well to the university.
Before you apply, take a careful look at PGCert and PGDip options in your field, and whether it is potential for these courses to lead to a Master’s.
