Brief Description: Applicants applying for a master’s program to study in Switzerland or Germany can do that with the Friedrich Naumann Foundation scholarship to help pay for their studies. The Friedrich Naumann Foundation in the Federal Republic of Germany is created for freedom and it is devoted to promoting liberal principles and to political education. The goal of the foundation is to advance the principles of freedom and dignity for all people in all areas of society, both in Germany and abroad.
Host Institution and Country: German, Swiss, and other EU state or state-recognized universities and technical colleges
Level/Field of Study: Full-time Masters degrees in any subject offered at the university except the following: LL.M, MBA; part-time degrees; bachelors degree for non-European applicants; doctorate studies in dentistry and medicine; postdoctoral programs; projects and separate stays abroad.
Scholarship Value: Master’s applicants will receive a monthly stipend of € 850 month, plus a contribution to health insurance, and other non-material items to offer support for projects, events, and initiatives. For Ph.D. applicants, the scholarship for the doctorate is up to € 1200 per month.
Eligibility:
Applicants must exhibit excellent academic or scientific records in their previous degrees.
Candidates must show reliability, highly motivated personalities, and prove they can make decisions and take responsibility in the tradition of the German liberal party and ready to actively contribute to the further development of the social, political, cultural, and economic life.
The scholarship documents must be submitted in German, also the selection interview will also be done in German, which means that candidates must be proficient in German Language.
Target Group or Country: International students from all countries committed to the political ideas of the German liberal party and willing to take responsibility.
Application deadline: The scholarship occurs every year. Deadlines for application are 30 April and 31 October of each year.
