The Chancellors International Scholarships offered annually at Warwick for international students and combined with post-graduate research scholarship competition.

Level/Field of Study:

All Ph.D. programs in any discipline offered at the University of Warwick at post-graduate level.


  • All Applicants applying for the Chancellor’s International Scholarship must be applying for a Ph.D. at the University of Warwick to begin in October.
  • Applicants must be enrolled or have just been accepted for a Ph.D. or MPhil/Ph.D. degree program at the university. And applications for this scholarship are only accepted during the first year of your program.
  • Scholarships are tenable in all subject areas and are open to candidates who apply for new masters or DPhil course by the January admissions deadline.

Scholarship Value:

Covers full academic expenses for the entire duration of your Doctorate program. It covers tuition fees, allowances, accommodation, insurance, and your trip.

A maintenance stipend in line with UKRI rates (provisional £15,239 for full-time award holders in 2020/21, expected to be confirmed February 2020)

  •  Length of funding: 3.5 years unless you are already in your first year of study when you apply then the length of funding will be reduced accordingly.

How to Apply:

Applications are currently closed and will resume next year.

To apply, you must submit a formal application for Admission and a Scholarship via the online application system. To be considered for the scholarship, you must apply for a Master’s degree program at the university.
