The Visby Programme Scholarships


Visby program is aimed at contributing to individual mobility and thus increasing contacts, the scholarships are awarded by Visby in collaboration with actors in Sweden and countries in the EU Eastern Partnership and Russia, the program’s goal is to develop an integrated, knowledge-oriented, and research-focused region, where the scholarships are offered by Visby program in master’s degree for students who have their origin or citizenship in countries that a member of the EU Eastern Partnership.

The Visby Scholarships Program will be offered to students from chosen poor nations who are industrious, bright, and deserving. This educational award encourages students to enroll in a specified Postgraduate program for the academic year and earn Full Funding, Tuition price, Monthly stipend, and other benefits.

Level/Field(s) of study:

  • Scholarships are meant to provide full-time Master’s degree programs to qualified individuals planning to study in Sweden.

Number of Scholarships:

  • An estimated 350 scholarships will be available.

Target group:

Applicants with EU/EES citizenship as well as Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Russia, and Ukraine are allowed to apply, as are applicants with dual citizenship in these countries.

Scholarship value/inclusions/duration:

The scholarship provides a monthly payment of SEK 9,000, which covers tuition, insurance, travel expenses of SEK 5,000, and participation in the SI network for future global leaders, among other benefits.


Candidates interested in applying for a Master’s degree program at a university must have a full-time bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in their country with a good academic score, as scholarship allocation is entirely merit-based, and the candidate must demonstrate good leadership skills as well as good oral and written skills in the languages that are mentioned as mandatory to obtain education from Sweden.

Applicants must be cautious when filling out the application form where the scholarship application is separate from the application to the master’s programs at Swedish universities, candidate will obtain a seven-digit application number once filled out the application to the master’s programs, the candidate should use the number to fill out the personal application form provided by Swedish university by uploading all necessary documents through national online application service.
