CONTINUING CARE ASSISTANT,
The Wolfville Nursing Home is a privately owned, Accredited Long Term Care Facility in the town of Wolfville in Nova Scotia’s beautiful Annapolis Valley. We provide quality care to 67 residents.

Reporting to the RN Supervisor and/or LPN Team Leader or designate, the CCA is accountable for providing personal care, support and non-certified services necessary in caring for personal needs and comfort of residents. The CCA ensures and maintains the quality of care given to residents on his/her assigned 1st or 2nd floor unit. The CCA responds to each resident’s care needs in accordance with the individual resident’s care plan and in a coordinated, cooperative manner with members of the staff team. The CCA enhances the focus on resident safety and positively contributes to the culture of safety. The CCA follows safety procedures, as work environment involves exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations (e.g. WHMIS, fire safety, spills).
The ability and willingness to work all shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays) is a requirement of this position.
Qualifications:
Nova Scotia Grade 12 or equivalent
Graduate of a recognized Continuing Care Assistant education program or equivalent
Previous experience in long term care an asset
Must be authorized to work in Canada
Must meet able to communicate in English
Wolfville Nursing Home offers:
Wage range for this position is $16.38 per hour.
